I finished it

I’m saying it here first, before I tell another living soul.

Baby Dust is done. I wrote the last sentence two minutes ago.

I’ll update you all more on what is going to happen next later, but I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out and the ending worked out better than I thought it could, as if someone or something else told me exactly what to say, and how to say it.

Now, I’m going to go to bed and sleep.

You must be so full of everything! Congratulation for finishing the book, but I understand it must be so hard to let go of, at least right now. The excerpts are fantastic, Deanna, you’ve written a great and extremely important book, really.
I hope you can take a break for a while now, to let everything settle for you – though I guess you’ll want to go over again and do tweaks.
Thank you so much for doing this work,
    Love and hugs,

  2. Congratulations! The excerpts have been wonderful and I hope that I will be able get the book when it comes out.

  3. Congrats!!!!!

I’m sure it won’t be all the way done for a while–but be sure to invite us all to your book release party!

I’ll buy yours if you buy mine 😉

Really though, I can’t wait to read yours–subject and writing skill!

  4. I can not wait for it to go to print! This book is much needed and will touch everone that reads it. Thank you for writing this book and giving some our greatest fears, nightmares, and feelings a voice. I really think that it will help some of our families and friends understand some of what we continue to feel.
    Thank you!
    Renee

  5. Not yet. The whole process has only just begun. I will start sending out letters to some agents I have already identified at the beginning of February. It will likely be a year or so before anything could be released–the process is terribly long!

  6. Yes! I am so glad you’ve finished it and see you have left enough for us to still learn more in the book. I am thankful to you for taking the time to write such a book. Because of you, I have gone on to make changes in the issue of miscarriage. If you look on both the boards, I have posted about laws that might be changing in my state. Seeing what you have done to help others has prompted me to find my own way to help. I have done it also for myself, it helps in my mourning process.

Thank you! Cannot wait until Oprah has you on the show to promote your book. (Speaking of Oprah, I read that she had a loss similar a long time ago…I think she was 14. I don’t think it was a made up story…oh but this is another issue).

    Good job, lady!

  7. Congrulation this is a book every women should have in their cupboard. I am so pound of you for finding to time to write this book it will not only mean a lot to the ladies you already know and who have unfortunity experienced a miscarriage but for these ladies who have not yet ment you and who sadly will go through the tragic event of the loss of a child

  8. I am so proud of you. You have captured the feelings so many of us have experienced. I know this will be a healing book for so many women. Congrads on the completion and I can not wait to buy your book.

  9. I noticed the description too, but thought maybe I had missed something somewhere.

Deanna, I am so proud of you, and I can not tell you enough how much you and your website have helped me through the worst part of my life. I can not wait to get your book, to read it and share it with every single woman I know of that has had a miscarraige; to be able to help them even just a fraction of the way you have helped me.

  10. Congratulations! From the exerpts I have read I know “Baby Dust” is going to be fantastic! I cannot wait to buy my copy and host a book club discussion with my moms group. Thank you for all you do!

  11. Deanna,

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes! Congratulations on completing Baby Dust~and giving women, like myself, a voice when no-one else would or could.

I can not wait to read your finished copy. Well Done!

  12. Deanna-
Thank you for writing this book! There is a definite whole in the marketplace for a book like this. I think what your site illustrates is that people in our situation (with pregnancy losses) WANT information, and are going to great lengths to find it and share their experiences. Your book provides information, but also offers bibliotherapy for both those directly affected by pregnancy loss and for those whom care about us. If only this book gets published and get shared within the medical community — think what a difference this could make in the quality of care those experiencing a loss experience.
If only my coworkers had a better handle on things.

    If only . . .

    Stacey
